size of pan? varieties?
Maris pipers,King Edwards,and Roosters are a great Spud
Maris Piper,usually bring the best results.
I've seen Roosters advertised round the field at the rugby matches, what are they?
They are a universal spud called the rooster good for roasting and mashing,never found a large enough rooster spud to bake

Their was a great spud for baking called Cara if you see it buy its fantastic makes a fluffy centre and a crispy skin

thank you all, sorry about the repeated post, the first was sent to soon by an interfering tiny tot, will try those recomended.
I find that most main crop varieties get difficult to boil at this time of year.
The roosters i get from Tesco usually have a couple in the bag big enough to bake. They are my absolute favourite potatoes as they taste good boiled, mashed, baked, as wedges or as chips :-)
