prawn salad

I have a pre-packed prawn salad which I took out to work with me this morning. I got held up in a meeting, then taken out for lunch, then had a hospital appt this afternoon.

so, the salad has been at room temperature (or warmer.. lovely weather!) in my car all day. it's been a crap day and I want to know if it will kill me if I eat it?

Be brave! I've done worse and I'm still here. As long as it doesn't smell funny and as long as the prawns haven't gone a bit slimy, it should be fine.

well...I wouldn't...especially not with prawns. If your car has been in the sun...even for a short time...the temperature in it would have been a lot higher than outside.

the cellophane lid was bulging a bit. it has mayo in there so I might miss the slime!

I'm in court tomorrow, and can't be running for the loo every 5 minutes.

I am tempted though...

Definitely give the prawns a wide berth sara! OH was ill a couple of days for eating the very same thing (silly old sod would rather give himself food poisoning than throw something away)

I love to take a chance with food,but even I would draw the line at a bulging with slime in a car all day sandwitch .Have some of my 4 day old spag bol insted.
