want to know as i was watching food inc and its so scary as the gm are cross breeding with the organic its terible !

I could make a movie about how bad eating bread is but until you hear a balanced argument, you shouldn't make up your mind. I dare say the movie maker had something to gain from bad mouthing GM, even if it was just his 15 minutes of fame.
Personally I think GM is being used for the wrong reasons.
It has the capability to increase food production in areas of Land where it is dearly needed
Seems no profit in that
Seems to me that the money is in crops that have longer shelf life and are in other ways more profitable for the likes of Tesco and Sainsburys.
The consumer is asked to bear the risks of GM and not receive the benefits.
Anyway I believe GM foods haven't yet been licensed in the UK for direct consumers (or am I behind the times?) However GM feed stocks for animal fodder is allowed.
