Eggs dont freeze well
my daughter would never eat omelettes, she said they were too eggy!

When she went on school dinners, she loved them. I asked the school cook to tell me how she made them, and guess what? They come frozen in a box!

She heats them up in an oven until soft, takes them out and unfolds, adds cheese or whatever, and then cooks some more!
crisgal, that would have some additives added to allow that
You can buy frozen omelettes.

As i said their must be something added to preserve them
i freeze egg whites on their own and they are ok.
Seems you can buy them in several places

thanks all

why would you need a preservative...?? they will be frozen...
I worked in a place that used frozen omelettes (catering grade) ....horrible things...yuck.
Why would you want to freeze them? I would imagine they would take more time from the frozen stage to the table stage than if you made them from scratch.

how can they possibly take longer?
They have a use in nursing homes as 30 can be popped in the oven.....but I certainly do not see the point of it in the home. They can't help but be rubbery... :-((

I can't quite believe that anybody would want to freeze either omelettes or scrambled egg. Either of them only take a couple of minutes to make fresh. It would take longer to defrost them in a microwave than it would to just heat up the pan on top of the hob and cook them fresh. Processed eggs don't freeze well anyway.
hi, they do frozen cheese omlettes in asda!!
Question Author
look i have my reasons for wanting to freeze them... I am well aware of how to make them and how long they take...its all the other stuff that goes with it that takes the time and is not convenient in the the circumstances they will be used

i just wanted to know if it would work!

the ones in question have many other things in them and are not just eggs and milk in a pan....

thanks to those that answered my question...
