I've eaten them after a week. Fine.

I left a hard - boiled egg on the worktop with a maximum room temp. of 12/15 degreesCelcius. A week later I ate the egg and I have survived!!

we used to paint our eggs about two weeks before easter and then stand them in the window. On easter sunday, we'd roll them down the local 'Mount' and then eat them!

And we're still here!

Ages. I have been known to cook enough for a week's sandwiches - but then I'm not fussed by sell-by dates either.
