Pickled ish cabbage...the type you get with takeaway kebabs. Turkish maybe?

Ok, we are really looking for the recipie to make this certain type of cabbage/salad. It is not excatly pickled cabbage/salad, but something very similar. The last time we had any was when we got a kebab from out local kebab shop but now they have stopped making it. I know for a fact they do serve it at other kebab shops as well. I don't know whether it may be Turkish or Middle Eastern, but if anyone has the faintest idea of what I'm talking about and can help me I'd be so grateful!
