Roasted vegetable platter? - sure! Par boil any hard vegetables for 10 mins or so, like potatoes, carrots, swede, turnips etc, or for soft veg, slice peppers, courgettes, aubergines, mushrooms etc into roughly the same size pieces can roast straight from raw - drizzle with olive oil and sea salt, black pepper, you can throw in some whole cloves of garlic too if you like, slow roasting makes them go sweet and mellow - not stinky after! Add a 'branch' of fresh rosemary or some soft thyme leaves, and roast - 'hard veg' will go golden as in roast potatoes, soft veg will get a little charred around the edges, this is what gives the veg a mellow sweetness. Use gas 4, electric 350/180 cook for about 45 mins to an hour - longer if you think they need it. Hope this helps - if you need anything more just ask
Ah pasties, liked them since I first tried one as a small boy. Can't beat a traditional Cornish one though. But my size, I need to find one with fat free pastry !

How can folk never have tried one ? Makes no sense.
