I must admit, these posts have made me smile. I've got Boo saying if her threads were moaned about like mine, she'd bite back, and that i'm 'barking mad' - yet she'd do the same, and I put nothing in my 'vile and venomous' comments that you hadn't put up for general chit-chat anyway - Boo working part time, Ummmm saying she wouldn't waste a rib eye steak on a drunken partner - having a letter from some authority or other about the weight of her offspring....
It's all been printed by yourselves, so sorry if I pick up on it and used it to defend myself

Mercia...I think it was pretty obvious that I was saying that my partner was going out to watch the football. With copious amounts of wine, beer and liqueurs you have on offer (?) I don't think you're really in a position to criticize....seriously.

As for the local authority pointing out my sons weight...links were offered where other parents received the same letter and their child was also not overweight.

oh yes ... i remember .... !
ok, for starters - packet cuppa soup ... 7 available flavours.
vesta beef curry for main,
with a side of ritz biscuits topped with squeezy primula cheese,
and for deserts - bananna custard.
sadly there wasnt 15 varieties of cheese to follow... but nevertheless there was at least 15 chunks of finest cheap cheddar stuck on cocktail sticks in an up turned foil covered half a grapefruit wasnt there ..
