i roast it up with other root veg, tossed in olive oil and maybe with a sprinkling of herbs and garlic. it's really nice, and one of the superfoods.

You've finally mastered the art :-)
baked is the best way, it concentrates the flavour.
do you bake them whole - like a potato?
Question Author
Yes...I had a quick look on the interent. I washed them and wrapped them in foil and baked for about an hour. It said not to pierce the skins...

To be honest...they tasted the same as the vacum packed ones but warm.

Still nice though.
i love the vacuum packed ones! I was given three today, by a friend who has an allotment. I'll definitely be having them baked tomorrow. yummm.
i chop them into wedges, about 3 or 4 per half, depending on how big they are, just to help them cook quicker and so they're the same size as the other root veg.
If you've got a large beetroot try this experiment ( my old neighbour did this) cut a hole in it bung in a small daffodil bulb and plant the whole thing in a large pot.
in the spring when it flowers - - HEY presto - a pink daffodil.
