Vegie Burgers

Looking for a recipe for vegi burgers. Any ideas?

I don't have a recipe but try to use 4 slices bread , make into breadcrumbs in blender. Remove and  add fried red onion, mushrooms, leeks, cheese, nuts, cooked celery, anything really.  You will need a beaten egg and a little oil to get the consistency of perhaps uncooked mince(!). Don't forget the seasoning and herbs and then just shape into 4 burgers and fry in oil.

That sounds lovely, sunflower. I usually buy mine, but I think I'll give that a try (swapping the mushrooms (yuck!) for sweetcorn, though. Sorry to have jumped in, hopalong ; )

you could also add some grated carrot, kidney beans, chickpeas or anything you fancied.

Sorry for the mushroom offence!  I just love them in anything at all.  Just a thought, use a bit of Quorn in there too (or is it a bit mushroomy?!)  Good luck.
