Crosse + Blackwell beans aren't hard, they're al dente. And the sauce wasn't as sugary as Heinz.
Are Crosse + Blackwell still available?

Definately Branston baked beans and Branston tomato ketchup.Heinz ketchup to thin and watery. But no other tomato soup like Heinz.

Home made are delicious. Recipe similar to lcg76 but without the sugar and treacle. We use various dried beans and soak overnight. Make up a huge batch and then freeze into double portions.
