Can anyone reccomend a nice, simple, easy curry recipe for someone that's never cooked one before.

I know there's all diferent kinds, some with yoghurt, some with lentils etc etc.

We haven't got lentils, I'll be able to get yoghurt soon, but what other kinds are there?

Plus can any recipes be for a mild curry, like a korma please.

Googles not working. If my computer will turn on, the internet keeps freezing so I can't open a new internet window or change websites, it's really annoying, it might come back soon. But i want ttied and tested recipes that Abers know are delicious and work, and aren't too spicy.
When you say curry do you mean more Indian style or Chinese or Thai?

IDK i've never made a curry before and have only had two or three, and only one of those I liked. The one I liked was a mild thai curry that had a cream colour to it (as apossed to a thai green curry.)
A korma
You could always ask your mam and dad for an easy curry recipe book for your birthday present.

I'd hardly ever use it mike.
Most supermkts have bottled curry sauces, choose a mild curry & follow instructions. Lentils are not usually curried, just boiled with spices.
I prefer a spicy curry but have cooked this one for friends because it is so easy. I don't like the almonds myself so don't put in but it's up to you.

Sounds delish tamborine. Please forward the recipe.
We buy curry sauce mixes from the shop - I did try to make my own at one time but you need a pinch of one spice and a tiny bit of another, and I wasted the rest of the dried ingredients. If you're going to do it regularly you will need to buy in the spices and keep them in a cool dark dry space. I rarely start from scratch so I keep a couple of different flavour jars of sauce on the shelf.
just add it to recipes I quoted above, or same recipe with just veg eg okra/brinjal/caulis/whole chillies.....eat with pkt chapattis or spiced pitta bread.
I use this stuff: http://www.pataks.co.uk/recipes/
Usually chicken, lentils and madras paste.
