Anyone know where(on-line probably) I can buy the yummy syrup that goes in coffee to make amaretto coffee, and is there any reason (apart from coffee snobbery!)that it cannot be used with a good instant?
I actually look forward to going to hospital for check ups because they do the best and would rather like some at home :))
Thanks all

P and p is dear because the bottles are glass but the Routin syrups are yummy
I get sugar free ones from the zero carb superstore almond flavour, amaretto flavour, hazelnut, etc big bottles last for ages just use instead of sweetener in coffee The english toffee is lovely in latte
Just before you invest in the syrup, take a look at the Almond Extract in the spice section (at least here in the U.S.) A 1/2 pint bottle is considerably cheaper than a large liter bottle of the syrup and then you can use if for other things as well. It takes very little to achieve the almond flavor you seek...
yes Clanad you can get almond essence over her but i'd think its a bit strong for a cup of coffee, maybe okay if you make a pot..talking of spices my Sis brings me back pumpkin pie spice from the US, it makes amazing biscuits.

The only problem I found with the almond essence that I got was it didn't amalgamate with the coffee well, preferring to sit on the coffee rather than in.I probably got the wrong stuff though, the supermarkets only had a fairly cheap one.
Thanks for you answers

aya I think thats why the flavourings are sold as syrups.
