Not sure, but if you want to make your own then use either vodka or brandy e.g.:-

1 and a quarter cups of granulated sugar

three quarters of a tspn vanilla extract

half tspn lemon extract

1 cup vodka or half cup brandy

5 egg whites

1egg yolk

two thirds cup evaporated milk.

Blend all together until smooth and pour into sterilised container and seal. Refrigerate and let age for two to three weeks. The color will intensify as it ages reaching the more traditional shade of yellow.

Have fun.

Hi FastBarry - thanks for the recipe, I want to try that. The only thing is, I'm not sure what lemon extract is. Can you buy it in supermarkets (is it like Jif lemon?) I also have no idea what measurment a "cup" is - how much is a cup in grammes or ounces? Or do you just mean like a mug or something?
Hi Indiesinger, that lemon extract stuff comes in them little bottle things that you get from the cake ingredients shelf along with food colorings and flavorings. Jif or real lemon might work but it could curdle the egg. I guess any size cup or mug would work as long as you use the same constant for all ingredients. Good luck.
