Tupperware

Can you still buy Tupperware in this country?  I had a look on the net but it only seemed available in the US. I know it's probably considering naff (Tupperware party, anyone?!) but all other plastic containers just seem to break after a while!

don't know about tupperware, but I have just bought some stuff called Lock and Lock and its the bees pajamas (what kind of sad git am I???)

The last tupperware party I went to was about 8 years ago and I too have wondered what's happened to parties now. I can agree with woofgang wholeheartedly; the lock and lock stuff is amazing! Non scratch - non stain - microwave proof (even the lids) - dishwasher proof - freezer proof and no leaks guaranteed! Plus they are so much easier to open and close than tupperware.

I never thought the day would come when i would publicly "dis" tupperware!!

I bought my lock n' lock set from QVC so I think you will agree woofgang, I am considerably sadder than you!

I used to go to Tupperware parties in the 60's/70's & all I can remember about it was the word - burp!

Do you have to 'burp' Lock & Lock?

No, no burping with lock & lock.  I love those too - I buy them from Lakeland, which is kitchen gadget geek heaven.

I think I read in the press within the last 12 to 18 months that Tupperware parties were going to end as the market had disappeared. I used to know someone who ran parties and you could take any ancient piece of damaged/broken Tupperware to her and she would get you a replacement as it had a lifetime gaurantee.
