rice krispie slices

I used to make rice krispie slices using chocolate, toffees and rice lrispies but have lost the recipe. Can anyone help?

90g butter
155g sugar
1 tin (397g) condensed milk
15ml (1 tbsp) golden syrup
Vanilla essence
60g rice crispies

Melt the butter and sugar together
Add the condensed milk and syrup and bring slowly to the boil
Simmer for 20 minutes, stirring continuously
When mixture reaches the soft-ball stage, remove from the heat and add the vanilla and rice crispies
Pour into a greased tin (about 180mm square)
Cool and cut into squares

Would this be a bad time to say i used to make saucepans of this stuff when pregnant with Elder Mini Boo? I never bothered putting them in bun cases or owt, just ate it straight from the pan with a spoon.

I'd melt the chocolate & toffees together in a bain marie (maybe with a little butter) and stir in the RK's. Pour on a tray and cool.

toffee mallow crunch? you could adapt it to suit perhaps:
4oz soft toffee
4oz butter
4 oz marshmallows
5 oz rice crispies
melt/warm it all in the microwave and give it a good stir to combine everything. add the rice crispies.

mrs. m, if you make any of them i'd be interested to hear what they're like, some of them do sound tasty. i'd never thought of doing savoury stuff with rice crispies..or any other cereal actually.
