Just finished.....stir fry......2006 Haza de Contado Crianza.......a Ribero del Duero.

Very impressed with your knowledge of wine on the other thread. ;-)
God knows, the cupboards are bare and I can't face going out in the snow to buy something :(
Goulash with creamed potatoes..........and a couple of mugs of Mr Tetleys finest.

Some chips, whips and dips could be arranged ; )
(Karen!)
That'll do fine for me Al - dunno about the rest of the family though.... :-/

goulash sounds just the job on a cold saturday evening, and mash too, i just love mash but rarely make it, i'd eat the whole lot myself.
Get your skis on. Leave some scraps ; )
Had pasta instead - it's too cold out there ;) xx
That sounds lovely, Karen, I'm planning pasta with prawns. Only me in tonight - catz have had Felix Senior and are stuffed.
I didn't know you could do taxidermy Boxy ;)

finished our meal and just fancied a grande marnier but have run out. am having a passion fruit liquour instead, it's such a vile shade of neon pink but doesn't taste too bad actually.
can't stop, have to book my place on the sofa for strictly...:o)
And what's your question, exactly?
does there need to be a question?
Question Author
some people can be very pedantic can't they...
just for you then judge, what did you have for dinner this evening :o) ?
Nobody is the slightest bit interested in what I had for dinner (or at least they should not be).

There’s no pedantry involved. It’s just that I was under the impression that the categories in AB were reserved for questions and answers (the clue is in the title: “Answerbank”. Without questions there can be no answers). Chatterbank was introduced a couple of years ago I believe as a concession to avoid the proper categories being gummed up with “Twitter” type dialogue such as a description of your dinner.
Question Author
i don't think anyone else who responded had a problem with there not being an actual question, it was more an implied one to start a bit of dialogue.
have a happy christmas ;o)
Question Author
..and actually, i think there will be a number of people who may be interested in what you had for dinner, it gives others ideas of what to do for theirs.
OK. I obviously need to get out more!
