i love creme eggs, usually buy them in cartons of 6 or 12 and can eat three sitting watching tv in the evening. have never understood the allure of dark chocolate as it doesn't melt in the mouth properly.
however, the desperate diet started yesterday due to a wake-up call in a routine annual blood test so this year there will be no creme eggs in this house. we buy boxes of freddos from costco and one of those will be an occasional treat, not nearly as nice as a creme egg but better than nothing.

He he, Ethandron - I consider milk chocolate to be milk and sugar with some chocolate flavouring!!
I buy Ecuador Plantation choc. from Llidls at 99p a bar (and considered better than many expensive chocolates, including the Hotel brand) It is actually quite smooth and isn't very sweet, just divine!!

lottie, i've just been to aldi for fruit and veg and forced myself to walk past all the chocolate stuff, it's really nice, so if lidl is on a par with aldi then it must be great stuff. have been given loads of lovely tea for christmas and an infuser pot so when i get the urge for chocolate or sweeties i'm going to brew up instead - well, that's the theory!
gingjibee, i don't know how old you are but i used to be exactly the same, ate more than my dad and was thin as a pin, weighed 7 and a half stone on my wedding day and at 5ft 7ins looked like a beanpole. time has caught up with me i think and the weight has slowly crept up. make the most of being able to eat anything...in fact, eat some for me too will you :o)
