I did Nigel Slater's green thai curry tonight. It called for bottled green peppercorns, but none of the supermarkets had them, so I just missed them out.
The curry was delicious anyway but I was wondering if you could use dried ones instead, and maybe soak them overnight first to rehydrate them, would that work?

Soaking them would be fine.
If you soak, use white ones. Soaking is used to soften the skin of black peppercorns before its removal, and the process can be a bit smelly.

Thanks both, think I'll give it a go, and keep an eye out for the bottled ones as well.
