golly, what a lot of things people don't like preparing. i think i'm far too greedy so there's nothing i don't like getting to grips with as i enjoy the end results far too much. peeling and chopping onions are becoming quite a nuisance for me though as i have dry eyes which water quite a lot at the best of times, but the slightest whiff of raw onion makes them very sore.
regarding garlic chopping/mincing/preparation. i bought a handy little pottery plate in france, the middle of which has raised sharp pottery lumps moulded into it for grating the garlic on. it's really 'grate' and very quick to use and wash.
I don't like handling raw liver.......
peeling and dicing swede
I have one of those garlic roller peeling devices and I can vouch for the fact that it works very well, is easy to use and easy to clean.
Trouble is I've lost it at the back of one of my kitchen drawers.....

All of it. I hate cooking.
Lottie - I notice your problem with swedes. Does it apply to turnips too?
Question Author
I agree about potato ricers/moulis - you do get a good light fluffy mash.

She's very enterprising.

zzxxee - I'm completely with you on the washing up score. It's probably why I have little time for gadgets, save time in the prep only to spend ages washing them up!

Despite having a dishwasher I will still economise on the number of pots/pans/utensils I use!
