I'm craving something unhealthy to eat, like a Big Mac or Nachos, it really is quite inexplicable why I want to eat such stuff but I do. I tried to compromise by having a mozzarella, tomato, pepper and crispy prosciutto salad, it was delicious but hasn't hit the mark.
Do you ever crave food that isn't really you 'thing'?
If you're craving stuff like mcdonalds or nachos, it means you're body wants carbs, but if you do eat carbs, go for healthier options, such as whole(is it meal or wheat, I can never remember) like brown bread and pasta.
I have to agree with Molls there. Cravings usually mean mean that you maybe lacking in something. I've gone for days without eating meat/chicken and started to crave it after a few days.
molly's point is valid about your body craving things that it needs. But, there is a fine line in body resones between your body needing carbs for instance, and simply being greedy and flying in to Macdonalds (like I do sometimes)
Sometimes after a large sunday roast or other similar large meal (including pud) we all crave a few chunks of chocolate. Anyone have this craving? I think it's because the body senses food is plentiful so make the most of it and get more to allow for leaner times.
Maybe goes back to when we were cave dwellers and hunted on the plains!
