Do any of you have this book?? What do you think of the recipes you have tried in it?
Just finished watching the show and the meal he made today looked delicious, would love to try it..
I think the book might be dear so would like to know if anyone rates it if I buy it..

He got it for £20.

I seem to recall a thread here stating that it's almost impossible to cook most of the meals in 30 minutes ... can't say that from experience though, but watching my only episode lately would reinforce that statement, from what I saw.

I would say most of them you couldn't cook in 30 mins until you've cooked them enough times to not have to look at the recipe.

The recipes are really good, far better than some previous offerings from JO.

If you have everything out ready to go, have read the recipe through and have cooked it once or twice you might be able to get it out the kitchen in 30mins. If you read the introduction he admits this himself.

So far I've cooked the Jerk chicken, haddock & sweetcorn chowder, Moroccan Lamb, mustard chicken and one of the pasta dishes. Everything has been fab but the pasta wasn't really to our taste.

Naz, fair point but it included things like knives, frying pans, graters etc. Most homes would already have the basics.
