Question Author
muesli doh i thought you meant pasty and warm milk when i first read your comment lol
oh they are, right add that to the list of foods mum has to make when i got for a visit.....
Question Author
chuck a few my way if you like mcfluff :0) x
Pixi, I hate milk, let alone warm milk! ;o). I have it with soya milk. Actually I don't dislike Muesli but compared to the thought of a cornish pasty literally bursting with things that are bad for me is driving me mad!!!!! I want one and I want one now........!!
zzxxee I thought that too initially!!!

Sounds nice Pixi - but unless you live in Cornwall, yours will just have to be called Pasties. Your only allowed to call them Cornish pasties if they are made in Cornwall now, like Champagne.
Question Author
i read that to milly
its to preserve Cornish heritage
so does that mean
Lancashire hot pot can only be called such if its made in Lancashire?
i bet there are loads of other examples.

19 items have a protected designation of origin in the UK

Arbroath Smokie
Bonchester cheese
Buxton Blue
Cheddar cheese
Cider
Clotted cream
Cornish pasty
Cornish sardine
Dovedale cheese
Gloucester cheese
Jersey Royal potato
Melton Mowbray pork pie
Perry

(a couple of these seem a little strange to me.... Cider????)
Question Author
cider i suppose it has to be made in Somerset ?.
I know. It's sad. Every time we get the train to London for football we always go to the Cornish Pastie company in Marylebone. Won't they be allowed to be called that anymore? It wont' be the same.
