Any recipes for a nice old-fashioned one like Ma used to make. & this might sound thick but how(if needed)do you get 'safe' stale bread.(You know, fungus free)Was going to say pennicillen but can't spell it.(Probably)
Oh that brought back memories.
My Mum used to spell blancmange "blomong" on her shopping list but I knew what she meant.
She also liked "bolly bongs" - work that one out.
Back to the bread pudding.
My tip is to make sure that the fruit and peel etc is inside the pudding as if there's too much left on the surface they dry up like little black bullets and are not nice.
Yep were getting warm rain it's a nice barmy 30c here a little to cool to get in the pool but nice to lounge out on the patio with a fan going, thank god for wifi
When I got old enough, 6 or 7 I guess, I'd walk half way to shops, meet my mum, and help her carry shopping home. There'd always be some little treat for me. That wasn't the only reason I did it, I don't think??. Perhaps I was a little mercenary. Ah well, happy days, Mammar.
