Thanks for your answers. Don't really do chutney and things. Just wondered if it was worth getting one (there's a big one (6.5ltrs) on special offer in Aldi on Thursday).
I had one before and all I cooked in it was a obey glazed ham just that we just ate in sandwiches, never once managed to make a meal with the ham it was so nice (think it must have been a wedding present).
rocky, I do cook the porridge overnight but I only use my very old slow cooker for that.
I honestly think new slow cookers are a lot more powerful and can cook things too quickly.
sher looking at the offer it's a really good price. The only note of caution is 6.5 litres is a very big slow cooker unless you're regularly cooking for six to eight, or geared up to cook and freeze half
I'm a big fan, they're really versatile and cheap to run, plenty of good ideas here
great for meat joints escecially lamb as the meat just falls of the bone. Better than an oven.. You can cook nearly anything in one. Best item in tthe kitchen. Make sure you get the correct size for your needs
