I've become quite the master of (cheddar) cheese scones, if I say so myself. I use half a teaspoon of mustard powder. Very nice they are too.
But has anyone any fresh ideas about 'spicing' things up. Different types of cheese? Something other than mustard powder? How about dried bacon bits, anyone tried something like that?

Instead of mustard powder, I use French grain mustard. Some very finely minced spring onions are also good.

You've given me an idea. I could crumble some e's in them. ;)
Smoked paprika and bacon might be nice.
Thanks for the BA. :-)
Now I want to make scones. I haven't made them in ages. Used to make them everyday for a tearoom.
Cayenne and mustard..or cayenne and chilli?
Oooh cheese and bacon..we'd have to sample them though ;o) x

Just went on Desktop AB for 5 minutes. Strike a light, how does anyone stick that. When I read other people moaning about Ads, I thought they were just a bit bright or something. They just kept taking the whole page over unbidden.
