Hi ABers,
I was hoping to pick your brains, I want to marinade some chicken for me and boyfy (he is extremely fussy - nothing too tomatoey, garlicy, vegetable/fruit based and no nuts so most things are out) and routing through my cupboards I have found the following:

Extra Virgin, Olive and Toasted Sesame Oil
Soy Sauce
Malt, Balsamic and Red Wine Vinegar
Worcester, Tobasco and Thai Sweet Chilli Sauce
Tomato Puree
A Garlic Clove
Salt and Pepper
Dried Mixed Herbs, Basil and Oregano
Whole Cumin Seeds
Mixed Spice
Paprika
Bovril and Beef Stock Cubes

Which tbh sound like the contents of an experience cooks cupboard but tbh I have no idea what to do with them all so I was hoping someone out there could help!

Soy sauce
balsamic vinegar
garlic
honey (you'll need this very useful ingredient)

You'll have the making of a delicious Teriyaki style marinade which is ideal for fish asnd meat.

Also....get some mustard and have a honet and mustard marinade.....mix a bit of lime juice in with it and marinade some chicken or sausages in it.

Thai sweet chilli sauce is an ideal marinade in itself as is worcester sauce.
Rosemary is my favorite thing to put on chicken. My second favorite is smoked paprika.

If you have a bottle of Italian Salad Dressing in the fridge - you can marinate the chicken in some of that.
One of the nicest things to do with chicken breast is to get a mix of herbs and spices.....such as some dried mixed herbs, oregano, mixed spice and maybe a sprinkling of cumin seeds....i put them all on a plate and mix up well then just roll the chicken breasts in the herb/spice mix (both sides) and grill untill cooked.

Quite often, i'll do the above with just mixed herbs and put in my lean mean grilling machine !!!

Let us know how it goes and what you cook

Good luck
salt pepper, worcester sauce and some fresh lemon juice (if you have some)

mmmmmmmmmmmmm
