steak sauce

has anyone any good recipes for a sauce to go with steak?

We usually do the packet mixes but fancy something proper tomorrow night!

Slow-fry onions, garlic, sliced mushrooms, add cream, season.

or

Bung red wine, W'shire sauce, Tabasco/mustard, cream in pan, season (plenty of pepper), reduce.

Sorry I cant give a full answer but our local pub makes a sweet chilli creamy sauce its yummy

I always just pour some port in to the pan with the pan juices from the steaks, which i've taken out and left to rest for 5mins while i do the sauce, then just reduce it a bit, lovely!

Pepper Sauce is nice. Flambe some brandy off, then add some cream and some stock, let it reduce down and add some cracked black pepper.
