Pasta dough in a bread maker

We have a Panasonic SD-253. Has anyone got any tips for making pasta dough in this or in another bread machine? (The dough would then be put through a pasta machine similar to this):

Quite honestly, I'd save yourself the bother of getting the machine out, making it dirty and having to wash it up because making pasta dough is dead easy. To whit: flour on board, make a well, drop in eggs etc, stir round with one hand, bringing flour into the eggs until it all forms a nice doughy ball. Knead gently for a minute or so, wrap in clingy, or put in a lightly oiled, covered bowl or tupper in the fridge to rest for 30 minutes - then get out your pasta rolling device and proceed to make whatever shape of pasta you need. Can't see any advantage to making it in a breadmaker. A squillion Italian Mammas can't be wrong.

The breadmaker is out all the time because we use it a lot, so that is not a problem.

However, mixing flour and eggs (and the eggs can be substituted with water) IS messy on the work surface. Cleaning the breadmaker pan is very easy.

Italian mammas have plenty of time on their hands.

Some breadmakers have a "pasta" setting but ours does not so I was just looking for some tips.
