You can cook noodles and rice in hot water with the lid on ( you don't need to have it on a hob) and have this with some ready meals if need be- my mum does all her potatoes in the micro in a bag - you can also have baked potatoes with various fillings - even a tin of rattatoullie if you want some veggies. you can steam most other veg in the microwave.
And as a complete cop out - pot noodle on toast, with a bowl of cornflakes for pud!

I was dreading it when we had ours done but like annie said, I kept the kettle, toaster & microwave in the living room & we used that to heat up meals I had previously cooked & kept in the fridge or freezer, defrosted & heated up in the micro.
We 'treated' ourselves to fish & chips - that was the only take away we had.
Lots of canned things can be heated in micro - emptied in a suitable container first of course!!!!
use your imagination!!!!!!!!!!! you might surprise yourself!!!

A sandwich toaster or George Foreman grill is a student staple. My favourite is mozzarella with tomatoes and oregano - a pizza in a sandwich! And, as said before, noodles are great - rice and egg noodles just need boiling water adding from a kettle, then flavour them with soy or chilli sauce, raw chopped veg (carrots, spring onions, peppers etc).
boo boo boo I have the perfect solution for you

Do you have a crockpot/slow cooker?

You can make a million healthy dishes in a crockpot. If you don't have one, I don't know about your neck of the woods, but here there are about 10 in every thrift store.
