I want a recipe in which you soak your fruit overnight in tea. I do have one but I'm open to other suggestions.

Also, if a recipe for a 2Lb cake was to be cooked at a certain temperature, would you neccessarily halve that number for a 1lb cake, or at least reduce it? Thank you in advance.

I wouldn't halve the temperature. I'd halve the time then check to see if it was done.

Thank you both for your answers. I didn't say "Bara Brith" in my question because I thought more people would recognise tea bread, but is In a Pickle Welsh like me?

I know Rhiw very well. Our friends live in Aberdaron, a beautiful village a few miles down the road from Rhiw. We live about 45 miles from there, in the same county.

I made one of the recipes you gave me today. Instead of making a 2lb one I made 2 1lb ones. They both turned out beautifully. Thanks again. Diolch yn Fawr.
