Like...in a crockpot?? Will your turkey fit?
Cook it 20minutes a pound plus an extra 20 minutes xx
Cab, isn't that timing for oven cooking poultry at normal temperatures not slow cooking it.
I'm sorry Connemara, I dont know timings so I wouldn't risk it.
Yes thats in the oven, sorry I misunderstood. xxx

yes it is for the crockpot timings thANK YU MUFCH
But it won't be roasted!!.....surely that is half the point of turkey????? There certainly won't be any crispy skin!
It could turn out slimy in a croc-pot.

I saw plump stuffed turkey breasts in Lidls at 5.50 - frozen. They looked good on the packing.....anyone tried to cooking them?

thanks for your answers but remember it was only turkey breast not a whole turkey anyway I think it will do it in the oven in the end but usually not matter what happens I find it dry. have a nice xmas everyone
Hi Conne,

Sorry, I wasn't being rude, I really had visions of you cramming a turkey in the crockpot LOL.

I've done a chicken in my crockpot and it was the MOST tender chicken I've ever had - very moist.

I just put it in with a knob of butter, salt and pepper sprinkled on top and left it on a medium for 12 hours or so.

I don't imagine it would be any different with your turkey. Can you do a dry run before Christmas day to check it's OK?
