I am baking a 6 egg sponge cake (12 oz flour, sugar and butter) in a 26 cm round cake tin, Should go into an oven temp 180C. How long should it take to bake. Can anyone help me, thanks in advance.
Im not entrierly sure how long it would take, but If i were you, I'd just check it every ten minutes or so, until it looks like its been cooked nicely, also check the temperature of the centre when you think its done.
I have to admit....I would use 2 tins for that much batter.....and allow up to 40 min. I would not check too soonas you run risk of it collapsing.
