Mutton instead of lamb

Did a very quick shop yesterday and now find I have bough half leg of mutton instead of lamb, I know its tougher and will take longer to cook any ideas/recipes how I should cook it pls ? unfortunately I am allergic to garlic so cant use that in a recipe.

many thanx redhelen will get out the slow cooker now.
That's strange I did the same thing this week but it was a shoulder of mutton! I put it into the slow cooker for 8 hours with onions, green pepper, mushrooms, marjoram, basil and a cup of red wine and my guests thought it was better than lamb. I'll definitely make the same mistake again! On top of that it's a lot cheaper than lamb.
