Occasionally I look up the CDWM recipes online but it sometimes says that it cannot give certain recipes. They have been broadcast on TV so why would they not put them on the website?
Any ideas why this would be?

Thanks.

Because the recipes were copied from a recipe book which would infringe copyright laws and may give rise to civil prosecution??
Sometimes the chef who created a recipe will sell both the broadcast and print publication rights (including internet rights) to the TV production company.

On other occasions the chef might decide to retain the print rights (and thus the internet rights as well) in order that he can include that recipe in a book which he is planning to bring out (in the knowledge that thousands of TV viewers will have seen and liked the recipe but only a few will have written it down, thus forcing them to buy the book if they want the details).

Ahh - I never thought of either of those reasons. Makes sense though.

Thanks.
