Cadbury is an iconic brand in the global confectionery market. they produce some of the world’s most popular snacks and confectionery such as Crunchie, Creme egg, Milk Tray, Dairy Milk, Flake, Roses, Wispa and Buttons. Their reputation for quality and taste has kept Cadbury’s at the top of the list to meet the snacking needs of the UK.

In 1824, John Cadbury began vending tea, coffee, and drinking chocolate, which he produced himself at Bull Street in Birmingham, England. In 1878, John Cadbury's sons Richard and George (who had taken over the company after John Cadbury's retirement in 1861), acquired the Bournbrook estate, comprising fourteen and a half acres of countryside five miles south of the outskirts of Birmingham. They renamed the Bournbrook estate to Bournville and opened the Bournville factory in 1879.

The site at Bournville is now home to Cadbury World which was built to replace factory tours as they were becoming impractical due to their popularity. The site gives visitors the opportunity to see exhibits about the history of chocolate and Cadbury’s. There are also displays about how the use of packaging and advertising has influenced the sale of chocolate. In addition, the demonstration area shows how chocolate is handled and made easier to work with in the manufacturing process.
