Easy Mars Bar Mousse

Mars bars make a wonderful cooking ingredient; the caramel, chocolate and fudgy centre is perfect for making decadent desserts, it is like three sweet sticky ingredients rolled into one. Mars bar chocolate mousse is definitely a decadent desert and it is very easy, a perfect student recipe or just great when you want some chocolaty creamy comfort food. The only ingredients you need are Mars bars and double cream so it is hard to go wrong.

Ingredients

• 260g Mars bars
• 200ml double cream

Method

1. Whip the cream until it becomes stiff and forms peaks.
2. In a heat proof bowl over a saucepan of simmering water melt the mars bars, stirring occasionally.
3. Gradually fold the melted mars bars into the bowl of cream, stir until well combined.
4. Spoon into glasses and chill for four hours until set.
