I have seen some reviews of this game and am keen to purchase it. However, there are references to the "Steam" site which I've struggled to get working on my PC. The question is, can I play Gone Home without having to use Steam?

I dislike download games and avoid Steam. Any decent games company will have the boxed game on disk. If they don't then they don't deserve your custom.
