Around the Sims do great clothing and objects. Some free, some not. It's a popular site, and do use their links page to other websites.

I actually decided to pay for one month's subscription and with a one-off payment bought some of the most fantastic, trendy Sims outfits and furnishings! Well worth it.

This is a good free one for clothes. They do loads including celebrity clothes, victorian, 60's, 70's. They recently did some formal gowns based on dresses worn at awards by famous actress's. They have just added some outdoor clothing for new seasons expansion aswell
