I have the Sims 2 game for the PC but i am having problems playing it on my laptop, when i installed it, it told me that i needed DirectX 9, so i downloaded it and installed it on my laptop and it still wont let me play it, has anybody got any ideas why this happens and any ideas how to get the game to work on my laptop please

Why can't you play it - are you getting an error message, won't it load, does it freeze - what exactly happens?

i still get the message saying that DirectX 9 needs to be installed, even though i have already installed it
