For some years I've played this game on and off, but never completed it, although I had endless fun with it.

Some time back I upgraded to a 2.3GB processor, 2GB DDR RAM, etc., only to fine that the game won't install any more.

Can anyone help with a reasonable suggestion?

Best regards,

Looking quickly in google it appears that quake installer doesn't like Windows XP.

A fix is to manually copy the Data directory from the CD rom (its hidden in the install drawer.) to your C: drive, and then double click on the Quake.exe file from you C drive
