lost restore points
Help, I have accidently switched off my system restore and now my pc will not let me go back to an earlier months restore point.is there a way out of this dilemma.
I'd be grateful for some helpful advice.cheers

Switch system restore back on. Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore and in 'System Restore Settings' make sure that it is turned on for all drives.
If you find it refuses to switch on, check for Malware/Spyware as I caught one a few years ago which stopped it from working.

Try to Edit your group policies.
goto>RUN> type "cmd" hit enter >type "gpedit.msc" hit enter
to the left panel expand administrative template
expand System and look for system restore point option
OR try this
* Open the Start menu
* Open the Programs menu
* Open the Accessories menu
* Open the System Tools menu
* Finally, start System Restore
* Pick the option for setting a System Restore Point and click on the Next button
* Fill in a name for the restore point so you can find it and click on the Create button
* Click on the Close button when done
