Nintendogs + Cats 3DS competition glitch

I brought Nintendogs with my 3DS on launch (French Bulldog copy) for some reason after the first day of competitions Ive been turning on the 3DS every over day and its constantly telling me i cant enter the same competition more than twice per day even though its been over 4 days since Ive entered one! can anyone help?

the original nintendogs has this limit, though it is 3 times a day..
