Massive BF3 patch incoming

I have now returned to BF3 and must admit I was surprised to find that there wasn't a single update but a biggy is coming next week (for PS3 anyway).

Most important to me is to fix that utterly stupid mav sniper glitch. Far too many people using it now meaning they don't contribute anything to the game.

Spoke to another mate who said he got kicked a few times from games which was frustrating when he had a good score and was having a good game and for no apparrant reason? I also joined a game yesterday that constantly had stupid messages flashing up on the screen about the host being 5ft 2" , very odd and slightly annoying, i quit out of that game!

Exactly what I say! I joined a couple of games with 1000 tickets per side.

Another thing that has ruined it for me is the shortcut packs that have been released. Now every time you jump in a tank you get TV missiled. I've spent ages unlocking that bit of kit and now find anyone can have it as long as they pay.

OVER the last month ive video'd a series of glitches that have happened in the game like floating tanks to unexplained occurrences, there is some interesting ones lol il be putting them together and on youtube some time soon, i loved MAV riding BUT it was cheating in a form so for the benefit of us all it had to go, although i never did figure out how you go forwards or around the map on the MAV i was only able to go up..?

BTW one of the best servers i found on BF3 was one called "Timelords UK" ive been on it a few times the guys are English & there is only two rules no Base Raping & no Spawn killing the guys are a right good bunch ive been on with them quite a few times & they have told me that as soon as any modded maps come out IF they are chargeable to have them on a server they are going to have them, they mainly come online after 4 in the afternoon they allow swearing (If thats your thing) as long as its not offensive IMHO i think there is way too many servers with OTT Tsunami of Do's & Dont's at the end of the day all we want to do is Game! its like been back at school with some of the servers and their admin rules...

Out of curiosity how do alternative rules such as 'no base raping' get enforced?

Does it require an admin to sit and watch?

I get irritated by helos that simply hover nr the enemy base waiting for jets and helos to spawn so that they can get easy vehicle kills. On Oman jets also just circle the aircraft carrier. Spoils the game imo.

Been playing a few large ticket games and enjoy them but if the game is very one sided it gets very boring !

I've been banned from some before I've even got in the game and have been kicked from others by admin. Make your server private if you don't want me in it !!!!

I'm also on 360 and have noticed issues seemingly created by the patch namely all background sound disappearing at times and weapon progression status not being updated. I'm using a gun as an engineer and have ranked it up several times but according to the status it is still zero with no progression.

Played with a lot of numbnuts yesterday who kept bailing from the helos while I was a passenger. Managed to switch to pilot in time on one occasion but other than that another shed load of 'bad luck' deaths for me.

Getting a few lost connections but not as many as the amount of times we are getting booted by admin from games. We arent breaking any rules and are playing the game as you should so we are a bit confused why we keep getting kicked? Its a bit rubbish this new server set-up!

I have no issue with rented servers but there should be many additional options when searching for games such as maximum tickets or even the option to avoid altogether!

For me massive ticket games hinge on an even game. Once one team dominates the enemy are penned in with Metro and also Bazaar being the worst examples. Not a fan of one-sided games and often leave servers for this (even if I am on the winning team).

Larger maps aren't so bad as at least you can get out of your base although Karg can be a laugh trying to get out when the enemy tanks are all lined up waiting!
