Does anyone know how to play Minecraft online using the xbox? My son got it for christmas but were it says to join a game, it says no games found.

does he have an xbox live 'gold' account?

also the bit where it says 'join game' is dependent on the following factors;

a) he has a friend online at the same time as him who has minecraft
b) that friend has selected in option for this world to be accessible online.

He has played it on PC and can just join in when he wants I think with different people. It must be different on xbox.

yes its different on the PC - there are dedicated servers with worlds already set up that you can play on with lots of other people.

With the xbox you create your own world which your friends can visit, and you can visit theirs. You do have to be online the same time.

There is an option which allows 'friends of friends' to visit your world (again you have to be online and playing Minecraft for that to happen)

You can also set your privacy to stop anyone entering your world. Thats what I do - lol, why would I want someone else messing up my hard work!
