Hi guys, need your help!
Some years ago i found an free to play online game (was a beta in that time i think) in which up to 64 players were able to chose between aliens or humans (up to 3 or 4 classes if i remember right), then fighting each other on big maps, trying to capture spots and destroy the enemy base with your team. the COOL THING was that in each team ONE player took the role of the "team commander" (players could elect a commander ingame), which made the whole gameplay change for that player since he was watching the map from above, giving orders to his team, giving building construction orders and so on. he could start building new buildings and the players on the map were then able to fastly build it up, like turrets, tech buildings and stuff. the gameplay was awesome and as far as i know, the game was about to be followed up by a next part that the developers were already announcing at that time.
Please give me hints what the name of that game could had been! Thx to everybody!
some small facts in the end: pvp with 64 players etc, big maps, aliens vs humans, 3d, third person fighting game COMBINED with strategic elements for the commander.

Likely to be a follow on from something like Savage: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Savage:_The_Battle_for_Newerth

Which was one of the first to use this concept...

But the game you're looking for is Natural Selection 2:
