Last Sat Lottery

Was watching the draw on TV and at the very end they showed 49 boxes each containing a persons name and said these people had REGISTERED their ticket to be IN THIS Special Draw. I had never seen any reference about registering my tickets and there was never any mention by the Lottery outlets when purchasing my tickets. Can anyone enlighten me on what this Draw was about.

The official National Lottery website seems to be keeping very quiet about '49 to 1' draws (which will only happen on special occasions) at the minute, presumably because it's too late to register for the one coming up on Saturday and there are no others currently planned.

who actually wins the lottery? I dont know or know of anyone who's had a substantial win. As its been running for 20 years I'd have thought that its enriched enough people for this to be the case!
