Do you always get a man out on a six, or try and get one all the way round first.

Could apply to Sorry too I guess.

Hi ugly_bob,

I always get a man out (story of my life lol!)

for both Ludo and Sorry

Obviously not many tacticians about, u_b ?

Of the two, I preferred Sorry - maybe because my dad made a board and hand painted it, which made it that little bit special!
Question Author
seems that way.
Just thought though - wasn't frustration just Ludo with a fancy dice thingy?
I think that a lot of board games are a copy of another one, with just some slight addition or alteration, to get you interested.

Can't beat the originals though...

draughts, chess, Monopoly, Ludo

Crikey, when I think of all the ones that we dabbled with as children, some never to see the light of day again - not such a bad thing - they were dire!

Did you ever play Halma? Checkerboard (256 sqs) 2 or 4 players...

Question Author
nope, never heard of that one. might have to go dig through the loft to see what i've still got.
Similiar to Chinese Checkers...

Attack! Game of Strategy...

Snipers, sappers, Generals etc

Battleships was a firm favourite in our household, we used to have the grid printed off...no plastic counters and upright board then, just a pen and sheet of paper !!
