Sims 2 expansion packs

Hi all - just bought the Nightlife expansion pack for Sims 2. But when they start the game, nothing is changed, the sims are still in there houses. Anyone know what to do and how to make them 'go out'? As you can tell, im not much of a gamer...

Use the telephone to call a cab, they will take you out.

but you have to build the places for them to go first of course, and remem ber to put a phone box out side so u can call a cab home

For each town you play in, you should get a 'select a downtown' option come up and a whole different part of the city will be there for you to use - shops, restaurants etc. Just remember that when you add an expansion pack that you have to use the most recent disk to run, so don't use your original sims 2 game. Use the CD rom from Nightlife and double click the nightlife icon to play. Good luck! x

or you can always build a driveway and buy a car, then just click on this and Drive to a community lot! good luck!

The reason for why everything looks the same is becuase Nightlife is an expansion pack, it adds onto the game, so it won't change it. You will be able to make changes, for example, if you went into Build Mode, you could find some extra wallpapers exclusive to Nightlife. That hould answer your question...
