My daughter has a PS2 and PS1. Can her old games play on the PS2 without damaging the console? Thanks for any advice.

Yes they play fine, dont worry
for future reference. its called backwards compabatible. if a machine is backwards compabatible (such as the ps2), it can play games from previous machines (the ps1). i suspect the ps3 will also be backwards compabatible.
Yes the PS3 is backwards compatible to the PS2 and PS1.
damage???
the only thing you need is PS1 memory cards to store PS! game data. These work fine in PS2, but PS2 games aren't compatible with PS1 cards and vice versa
yes u can it is fun to play it wont do any damage
